Customized Written Exams
Each and every written promotional examination that is designed by Resource Management Associates is fully customized to meet the unique requirements of the fire or police department for which it is designed. Resource Management Associates offers no “off-the shelf” examinations. We provide only content-valid examinations designed based on a careful review of the requirements of the position to be tested. All of our questions are source-documented and we provide a process for on-site test scoring as well as a review and appeal procedure. The questions are written verbatim from the source documents decreasing the likelihood of successful challenges to the questions if appealed.
Our library of fire service and law enforcement reference materials covers every possible knowledge area and we continually monitor these materials for any updates. We also develop questions from department policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of content validity for each position tested. It should be noted that all of our questions are written by subject matter experts in public safety. Please see below our current Source Lists for fire and police test development. If there is a textbook you wish to utilize that is not on our Source List, we will develop questions from this source for inclusion on your examination.
